from eating all that turkey? LOL….
Since there was no card yesterday, I’ll show you a few simple ones today. This one uses a new ribbon tie from DRS designs:

It is an oval that has some place for a mini stamp like the birthday sentiment that I used. I had fun doing the background wallpaper with the long skinny stamps

Next up is a card that uses a technique now called “Masked Frames” from the December
TJ newsletter :

I chalked the background and some swarovski pearls make the frame complete. The frame was done with another ribbon tie!
Lastly, here is a card that uses another new TJ technique called “Torn Paper Frames”, what fun!

Isn’t that sentiment something? You can find it with the other new releases in
this section of the DRS website. Happy Holiday Weekend!

I nearly forgot! The wonderfully HUUUGE (like in very large, lotsa rubber) Snowy Woods plate from Artistic Outpost is on sale for a limited time, instead of $24, pay only $19.99!! I think I’d buy this plate just for that super gift package stamp, soooo cool!

and hey, you’ve got to admit, them Santas are really neat too
There is a new owl in the DRS designs house, Oswald
You can never have enough owl stamps, that’s a fact

To read how I made this and another scene card read my
Confessions of a lazy stamper on the DRS blog!
And in other news: have you seen the wonderful Thanksgiving SALE that is going on now at Clear Artistic Stamps?? Thirteen sets are Only $7.95 each (Regular price $11.95 each)!! This sale runs through November 30th, snatch them up now!!

At least my polymer stamp mess. I don’t think there are appropriate words to describe just how much I hate the clear baggies with the sticky strip that most polymer stamps come in. They are a mess, that strip just sticks everywhere and the stamps are a pain to get out. Storing clear stamps in CD cases is a close second for me in aggravation, those cases and I just don’t get along very well. So I had a mess in my drawer and on my desk with all the pretties, this weekend, this all came to an end! Meet the organized photo box (on sale at Michaels for a few bucks):

There are 42 clear stamp sets in there, with stamped indexes, sorted by color = company! How is that for cool?! Now I can just flip through and find what I need with a glance and all my goodies are orderly and away from the light! Take a closer look at a single folder:

Its so easy it hurts! and it works like a charm too!
Just cut a regular sized piece of card stock to the needed size (width), score at 5.5 inch and at 10 inch, then cut off 1 inch from the opposite side, fold the folder with a bone folder (say that fast 10 times..). Add your label to the flap, stamp all stamps on the front and put them inside, easy as that! Some larger sets that are 8 inches wide (the plastic) you’ll have to trim a bit on the sides to make them fit. My largest folder is just short of 7.5 inches wide. Do of course keep the sheet that the stamps come on AND the protective cover, dust IS your enemy

I got all my stamps in the box from Stampendous, Flourishes, My Favorite Things, Firecrackerdesigns by Pamela, Animal Spirit Stamps, Impression Obsession, Sarah Kay and of course, Clear Artistic Stamps! The only sets that are too large are my Inkadinkado sets :* I’ll have to find another solution for them.
While I was doing this I also gave most of my clears a good bubble bath to clean them and make them stick better:)

Have you seen the November Release of DRSdesigns yet? A real fun mixture of new images, one of them is this cute little kitty:

I left her white because my husband just got me the cutest white stuffed kitty who is now residing on our bed
She is walking through the flower pots as they just love to do (yes, I didn’t always have dogs, we used to have 4 cats.. I know!). I borrowed a few paw prints from the Easy Cat Paw backgrounder sprinkled into a plaid background on the base card, both stamps can be found in the backgrounder section of the DRS website.
Today there is a new challenge up on the DRS blog , hop on over to see what the designers did with envelope art stamps !
